Space Rogues are a famous band affiliated with Scatterhome, but famous sector-wide. They are well known for their edgy brand of dark streampop and their dynamic and engaging vids, but perhaps they are best known for their mysterious frontwoman, Silhouette. Having hovered in the top ten for many years, Space Rogues are one of the most popular musical acts in the sector.

Band Members

Silhouette

Unknown
"Silhouette" is the famously mysterious lead singer of the Space Rogues, refusing to appear on camera, and always using a complicated suite of holographic disguise projectors to mask her appearance. Nobody even knows what planet she hails from or what race she is. Rumors run rampant that Silhouette is incapable of being cloned, is on the run from bounty hunters, is in league with a shadow government. Her on stage presence remains magnetic, despite presenting nothing but a shadowy and vaguely feminine shape to fans.

Shedi Tega

Non-binary - Selassian
Unlike Silhouette, Shedi Tega is very much visible in the public eye, enjoying their fame and fortune to the fullest. The Selassian backing vocalist lives in The Diamond Belt with their multiple romantic partners, and is frequently spotted in some of the galaxy's hottest vacation spots. With coiling, highly polished black scales covering their serpentine lower half their style is slick and stylish; often seen in high-end designer items including a patent black leather jacket and oil-slick black vest. They glide effortlessly and elegantly wherever they go, occasionally tipping their sunglasses to show a flash of intense green eyes, or smiling to expose razor-sharp teeth and impressive cheekbones. It is heavily rumored that Tega has invested extensively in subtly modded skin, nails and hair that can change color to suit their outfit and occasion. They also have modified breasts that can be enlarged to magnificence or transformed into shapely pectorals with one smooth gesture, depending on their gender presentation requirements at the time.

Nirar Dem

Male - Krona
Serious and focused, Nirar Dem is responsible for writing some of the Space Rogues most popular songs, including "Marks and Mayhem" and "Samples of Beyond". Not shying from the spotlight, but not as fond of it as Shedi Tega, the bass guitar player balances his fame with his experience and gravitas, being far and away the oldest member of the Rogues at over four hundred years of age. Large and stocky, his square jawed face is framed by a remarkably polished indigo beard and a long, curly handlebar mustache. His teeth are capped with glittering astrium, and his tusks have been dyed a deep purple and carved into flashy spirals that he tips with silver. He wears a long sleeved black shirt with the sleeves rolled up, revealing old school tattoos of Gunurashian animals and scantily clad Krona pin up girls. His pants are a loose black polyleather, held up by a belt with a large, decorative buckle. He keeps his nails painted black and trimmed neatly; long on his picking hands and short on the fretting ones. Although he is over 400 years old, he still wears the same bold signature eyeliner of his youth.

Eve Paulson

Female - Human
Little is known about Eve Paulson's checkered past, other than a confirmed stint in the Iron Corsairs. The Space Rogues' drummer is a body builder in her spare time, and often works out at Plat's Gym (though in warning: she is famously violent towards paparazzi. Standing at over six feet tall, with muscles bulging through her clothing (often a sheer black polymesh shirt); tattoos cover her entire body except for most of her face. Meeting Eve Paulson can be an intimidating encounter for some. She usually wears tight, ripped grey duracloth pants, and calf-high, lace-up combat boots adorned with hand-scrawled words and doodles. She styles her hair in a bright magenta quiff, cropped and embellished with shaved geometric shapes at the sides of her head.

Riro Thoul

Male - Jin
Riro Thoul was born in Thait, on the planet of Prosabel II - making this master of the e-strings one of the most famous people in the colony's brief history to date. He produces his own label of flavored ark vapor as a hobby in his spare time. Riro is tall and graceful, both long limbed and long necked. He insists on wearing the same ensemble in every public appearance: a hooded cloak over tight-fitting black pants and a dark grey tunic. His hair is shoulder-length and indigo, framing his purple-skinned face in silver-beaded dreadlocks. Between his eyes is a dark, vertical third eye, which has been embellished above by an intricate decorative lacework of geometric silver patterns. Tattoos bearing similar patterns - almost like diagrams - can be seen on the sides of his neck. The backs of his knuckles are tattooed with ancient Jin runes. He always carries a bottle of ark vapor, which he keeps strapped to his body.

Other Media

Space Rogues are famous for their arty and profound music vids, one of which ('Marks and Mayhem') was posted in announcement of their headlining appearance at Scatterfest 951 A.E..
[The video begins with the slow and pretty intro to the song, with its haunting vocals. The visuals are extreme close-ups of a mature Krona man's face - especially his eyes - as he wanders along a dark and ruined hallway filled with capitalist-religious imagery trying to find the source of the music. He reaches the edge of a quad mezzanine and finds it as the song suddenly kicks in. The extreme close-ups of his facial micro-expressions become interspersed with chaotic and intense shots from the middle of the action: in amongst a band who are at the heart of a quickly collapsing building. A Jin, a Selassian, another Krona play instruments while the vocals seem to come from an undeterminable patch of dark undulating static that causes glitchy interference whenever the camera gets too close. The building seems to be being demolished by the power of their music. The Krona watches intently as he walks slowly around the ruined upstairs balcony, the carnage below perpetrated by his band-mates who play together at the centre of the building, explosions and blasts destroying more of their surroundings with every heavy beat. When the Krona man reaches the centre he joins in and, as though completing a puzzle, the image immediately goes white as the band and building disappear in a blast of white light. We are left to decide whether it is transcendental or detrimental.]
