Lithium Alleys are a political dreamfunk band from Litharge in the Celestine Ascendancy. After rising to galactic fame after the release of their song 'Angel', in the wake of the destruction of the Corporate Justice Building, the group have continued to protest for social reform and a number of other issues through their music. The music itself is an unexpectedly compelling juxtaposition of dreamy, chilled-out electronic funk with charged and controversial lyrics.
Band Members
Rat Race
Male - tbc
Jurryt Aldert, or "Rat Race" as he is more commonly known, is the lead programmer and mixologist of Lithium Alleys, a Litharge-based dreamfunk group. The locally famous group achieved galactic recognition upon the release of their hit single, "Angel" - released shortly after the destruction of the Corporate Justice building. Rat Race is responsible for the heavily political slant of the band's lyrics, and is a vocal proponent of system reform.
Atsi Aldert
Female - tbc
Atsi Aldert is Rat Race's sister, and has a much quieter personality than her more vocal brother. Despite this, she is rumored to be involved in a group of politically radical black hat hackers. Both she and her brother were born and raised in the Subnet, scraping their way up from nothing by busking for marks until their dreamy music coupled with charged, controversial lyrics attracted mainstream attention. She plays the Synthboard.
Lirain Udondo
Male - Nusriza
Lirain Undondo is a Nusriza kithdrum player who moved to Litharge from Frixion VI following the controversy of Martias Arrarax and Kimera Santuren. He is fervent in his desire for a single-faction sector, being vocally opposed to both the Song Dominion and Scatterhome. He uses his fame with Lithium Alleys to fund a lavish lifestyle, and has been arrested multiple times for flying a spaceship while under the influence of illegal drugs. Never seen without a joint of leesa in his beak.
Suti Basah
Female - tbc
Suti Basah was a member of Jewel before dramatically quitting the Aetherscape group to pursue a more eclectic and less traditional musical style. Her influence on the dreamy sound of Lithium Alleys is hard to quantify, but critics agree that the depth and sophistication of the band has only improved since she signed on with her e-strings.
Asytia
Female - Amaian
Asytia is a former adult holovid star turned voidpipe player, and her glamorous, sexy public persona has followed her to Lithium Alleys. Her talent with the voidpipes is unmistakeable, but critics claim the Amaian woman would have never gotten her spot in the band if it weren't for her pre-existing fame.
