Snowfish

A saltwater vertebrate native to the polar regions of Uycheon III, the inaccurately-named snowfish is prized among the Tukkav for its pungent and salty flavor. The body of the snowfish is translucent, conforming to a strange body plan that stretches its scales and bones into a star-shaped lattice of pale white that resembles a snowflake or a shard of ice. Its organs can be seen through its scales, pulsing as they keep the snowfish alive as it is dragged through the water according to the whims of the current. At the end of each point of its body, a simple eye observes its surroundings.
