Destroyer

A destroyer is the largest and strongest of the 'fighter' starships, and could also potentially be classed as a small 'warship'. Slower to turn than smaller vessels, but still manageable depending on the size and weight of the vessel and its cargo, it makes up for that greatly in every other aspect. It is strong enough to manage most incursions, as well as stronger 'assassin' ships, and can be of great assistance when used on stronger enemies when in a fleet, or flanking a battleship or cruiser.
