Korchakh is a hard liquor created by the Ry'nari of Hororeon seasoned with peat moss, fresh herbs, and some kind of blood or hemolymph depending on the distillery. In the past, it was considered crude or insulting to add blood to the spirit any earlier than the moment the drink was poured, but in exchange for convenience, modern korchakh producers simply mark the 'Slaughter Date' and keep their batches small enough to move quickly. Some brands, including the most well-known variety, Ostarian Korchakh, go so far as to include a freshly-killed animal in every cask; usually that's something simple like a prepared trilobite, but special runs have been known for their more grisly inclusions, including the 684AE Speak No Evil run featuring a pijak head in every keg, and the 329 Centennial which contained body parts from captured W'hoorn raiders.
