Mechelin is a type of Elgan alcohol distilled from the lachryma excreted from the flowers of the mechelor tree.
With an incredibly variable palate based on the demanding cultivation plans put in place by viticulturists, mechelin is a sweet alcoholic drink slightly more dense than water, whose production is managed by a small but competitive industry of growers primarily located on Krell. Due to its high price and effect of the plant's extreme sensitivity on the flavor, mechelin is not the most popular drink among Elgans.
