Zahrablossom

Normally seen as a bright plume of color within the canopy of the zahratun tree on Kovalar, the zahrablossom is actually a spherical collection of rippling, bright pink petals rimmed with a milky, cream-color. Thin, spearlike pistils erupt out from a central orb seemingly at random between the petals, creating a texture not unlike a pin cushion for those unfamiliar with the bloom. It has a pleasant aroma that is a little fruity and a little floral, but though it isn't toxic, the flower is not particularly flavorful; it is considered a fine garnish.
