Xaocoren

Native to the planet Selubir, this tree grows in vast forests, with deep purple bark, pale gray wood, and thick, bladed lavender leaves well-suited to shearing through the fierce windstorms of the Coriolis Mountains. Clusters of tiny kernels grow in the protection of its leaves, and when properly prepared and fried, they burst into popular snack popkern.

When pulped, strained and properly prepared, the xaocoren bark is used to create xao purple, a lustrous dark purple dye suitable for paints and dyeing clothing.
