Seventeen Mirrors is a Nusriza rite of passage. The young Nusriza spends two days in a circle of seventeen elders from its throng. Aided by the intoxicant, poivirn, the elders humble the youth with criticism, highlighting its shortcomings on the first day. On the second day, they applaud the accomplishments and virtues of the youth, ultimately welcoming it into the throng.
