The palappi is the stamen of the large flower of the alappa plant, which grows on Nath-el homeworld Jerzah. Once known as 'The Queen's Fruit' and often referred to as 'Her Majesty', the fruit itself is harvested when the flower is fertilized and its stamen becomes engorged with nectar.

It is a symbol of fertility in Nath-el culture because of its resemblance to a Nath-el ovipositor.

OOC Note: This is equivalent to an Earth banana, with a yellow-orange hue and a thick, smooth outer rind that can be peeled away to reveal its sticky, sweet flesh.
