A Toof is a traditional Tukkav instrument usually played socially and especially during Ouran gatherings. It is horn-like wind instrument with a deep bass to mid tone that originated before the Tukkav mastered spaceflight. Most Tukkav have at least a passing familiarity with a toof, which is shaped like a curving, hollow horn, tiny at one end and broad at the other. A leather strap attached to the instrument allows it to be carried easily. The instruments are often decorated; carved along the sides with traditional hunting scenes, though these handcrafted items are now often cheaply mass-produced so that tourists and other hearth-family can buy and play them during Winterflame.
