Morphology and Physiology
The Ixodon are a water-born, non-humanoid race of creatures and one of the Younger Races in the Starmourn Sector, standing standing approximately 3 meters tall when on land. Their bodies are spade-shaped with remarkably strong musculature, propelled by long, armored tentacles. They rely on a large, singular eye within a toothed hood for perceiving their surroundings, though many years below the surface have given them near-perfect vision even in absolute darkness.
History and Culture
What little is known about the Ixodon revolves around their membership in the Ibyssian Brotherhood and the fact that they are excellent builders of starships. Some modern Ixodon now live comfortably on land, namely in Ghenla - Capital of the Lha Ti, though a significant portion of their population remain below water. Despite their love of the waters, many Ixodon enjoy basking for extended periods of time in the sun or under specialized heat lamps, built to avoid drying out their skin too excessively.
