Fingerpaint

Fingerpaint is the name given to the popular trend among young Humans to cover the tips of their fingers, and sometimes other parts of their body and clothes with colorful SmartPaint.

In the streets of Scrapston and The Dregs, as well as the depths of the Undercity, graffiti was and still is considered an art form. "Taggers" receive a certain amount of respect from others, more so if their work is renowned. Currently, a gang of mostly young Humans, The Sparkleboys (named after the company famous for SmartPaint, though they aren't all male by a long shot) are considered to be the epitome of Tagger royalty in the Ascendancy, and this culture of SmartPaint near-fanaticism has led to younger Humans (and even other races) copying their style, covering the tips of their fingers and clothes in colorful SmartPaint, as if they have been out tagging, whether or not that is actually the case. This has led to some health issues with repeated application, but that hasn't stopped anyone.
