Kithdrums

Kithdrums are a type of multitonal percussion instrument with hammered metal skins imbued with star kith to add warmth and explosive tone to the music produced. They are played using special metal mallets though the drums themselves seem to contain a warm energy whenever they are touched, a hum of excitement vibrating from the metal surfaces. They range in size from tiny drums that chime and sing to shining kits where every tap of the mallet produces bright, exotic melodies to huge, deep sonorous drums that seem to make your very bones rattle with power when they are struck with the mallets. They are usually arranged in a semicircle of 6 or more drums, arranged from the lowest pitch to the highest. There is usually a seat of some kind placed behind them for the musician to sit at. Kithdrums are often painted bright colors or decorated to suit whatever genre of music they are playing.
