While many of these will be self-explanatory, it's nice to have a handy guide to translate the look you're going for into setting-appropriate references.

Silks

  • Grub silk - a low-quality but sturdy silk
  • Fabrisilk - a common synthetic silk, mass produced
  • Crezan silk - a good quality silk for a fair price
  • Holo-silk - a heavy silk used for its hologram-projection technology
  • Merovian silk - an expensive silk with a faint iridescence

Linen

  • Fleetweave - a light fabric made from the fibers of the fleetweed plant.
  • Coroweave - a light, flowing fabric painstakingly woven from living phosphorescent fungus. Very expensive.

Burlap

  • Hardweave - a coarse composite fabric made from various plant fibers.

Cotton

  • Syncloth - a synthetic fabric that can fill any niche that cotton can.
  • Duracloth - a sturdier fabric that can fill any niche that denim or corduroy can.
  • Polyfiber - an expensive fabric that is soft like syncloth but tougher than duracloth.

Plastics

As synthetic non-brand-name materials, these are all on the table;

  • Nylon
  • Latex
  • Spandex
  • Polyster
  • Rayon

Animal Products

  • Various - hunting is a celebrated facet of several cultures in Starmourn, so genuine animal pelts, furs, leathers and suedes are all on the table.
  • Synthleather - a synthetic substitute for true leather, comes in a variety of choices for thickness and flexibility.
  • Duraleather - a synthetic leather that is sturdier than synthleather
  • Polyleather - a synthetic leather that is sturdier than duraleather
  • Synfleece - a synthetic substitute for wool
  • Synfur - a synthetic substitute for fur
  • Insulwarm - a common brand of synthetic down
