A terrestrial arthropod native to Hororeon, varieties of muriapedes are found in several different climates, including the tropical jungles, mountainous cloud forests and even polluted urban environments. Muriapedes have dozens of legs that poke out from beneath interlocking plates of carapace which ripple like waves as it moves around, and a pair of extendable mouthparts called venipalps, which it uses as sensory organs as well as natural weapons. Using fine hairs and spiracules to perceive motion and chemicals in the air, the muriapede is able to sniff out scraps from the larger predators of Hororeon and track down insects small enough for it to hunt.
