A xylophagous fungus native to [[Kovalar]] that grows in cool, wet climates, the parasitic '''ahoja''' propagates as many deep-gilled blue shelves that cluster off of the side of their host, which are widely cultivated (despite the deleterious effects it has on the trees) so that [[Shen]] arborists can collect its sticky spores. Ahoja gum, a tacky and water-soluble paste made from the spores, is a common food additive used for its cool, bright and menthol-sharp flavor, and the sharp cooling sensation that it imparts.
