The '''Elder Races''' are civilizations who have existed for eons and were well established before the emergence of the [[Younger Races]]. Created by the powerful and ancient [[Empyreals|Empyreal]], know as [[Omega]], some were able to wield the power of [[Wild Kith]] while others were not, forcing them to depend on technology. While in ancient times the the former established the powerful [[Wild Kith Empires]], the ending of Omega and the subsequent dissipation of Wild Kith left them powerless, and they were soon completely overcome by the technology dependent races. Moreover, during the [[War of Extinction]] most of those technology dependent races were in turn wiped out by the rogue AI, the [[Ishvana]], an attempt by the [[Elessi]] to reach [[Willspace]].
