An epiphytic plant native to Paperweight that grows in the branches of its boreal forests. Fledgevine grows in long, fibrous tendrils like ivy, weaves itself through the foliage of other trees to protect itself from the weather. Though it us used by the belauls for centuries as a source of twine and food, if left uncontrolled, it can become something of a pest.

Clusters of spherical aulnuts grow along the oldest parts of a mature plant, each one framed by sprays of sharp, sturdy leaves. As each nut becomes fully grown, it breaks off of the plant and falls to the forest floor to be scavenged by herbivores who eat the nut and leave the bitter seed to sprout.
