Exalti

The exalti is a traditional instrument of the Shen. which originates in Kovalar. The range of tones that are capable of being produced by this long-necked, ethereal string instrument are diverse and chaotic. The exalti's sound makes little sense outside of an anechoic chamber and is used in aetherscapes. Controversially, the sound of the exalti was made slightly more accessible by popular group The Shentones, whose shipbound aetherscape chamber meant that the musical form could be transported around the sector - much to the outcry of many people who still say that aetherscape should be reserved for Shen experience only.
