Aetheroot

A very unusual tuber found on Kovalar, aetheroot is often baked and enjoyed by Shen everywhere. Aetheroot is so called because of the variety of sounds the tuber produces when it is eaten.

More serious Shen dinners often serve aetheroot for its powerful earthy aroma. Though it is considered a mark of refinement and politeness for grown Shen to eat aetheroot silently in public, young Shen children making a ruckus with their dinners is a common sound in the cities during the warmer months.
