The colony was founded over sixty years ago after the Jin surveying team discovered a three-eyed songbird living in the white stone canyons in the northern hemisphere. The colonists settled there, believing the presence of three eyes on local wildlife suggested a good omen of some kind from [[T'rath]]. The terrain of the planet is much like Earth, with a lot of varied biomes, but is far more mountainous, without a great deal of arable farmland. The terrain also has a far higher average elevation, with sea level being thousands of feet down. The colonists live on a small, rocky continent north of the planet's equator, which is all verdant foliage growing along the mazelike cliffs and canyons formed of a stone much like limestone.
