An ocarina is a small, hollow wind instrument made to easily fit in two cupped hands. Made of ceramic and usually glazed or painted in bright colors, a sweet, hollow music resounds from it when the mouthpiece is blown upon, and the notes are controlled by covering and uncovering the small holes in the piece.
