Earth is the homeworld of the Humans, aka Terrans. In 2274AD, an alien race, the De'rem, suddenly arrived bearing dire warnings. Another hostile force, the Free Fleet was in pursuit and would wipe out both their species if something was not done immediately. The United Earth Alliance agreed to allow the De'rem to "hide" the Earth and within 48 hours of making contact with alien life for the first time, the planet was gone.
