In A.E. 574, just 39 years after the destruction of the [[Sheol Locus]] the Ait Benir played a tragically heroic and integral role in driving back the [[Cleax]] in the [[Third Cleax Invasion]] in a battle known as The [[Battle of the Sarkeen]]. The [[Sarkeen]] were permitted to approach the flagship of [[Emperor Lin Sber'ana]] of the Ait Benir and his complement of guardian starships, but suddenly and without warning, the Sarkeen unleashed their biological EMPs, powerful enough to overcome the defenses the fleet's [[Phoenix Cruisers]]. Almost simultaneously, they poured incredibly destructive clouds of 'spores' that attached themselves to any metal object and quickly began reducing it to component atoms into space around the ships. | |||
The rest of the alliance immediately moved to begin attacking the Sarkeen, but to the horror of all, it was too late for the Emperor's flagship and the core of the Ait Benir forces.
