A tropical saltwater fish native to Rhelomar, the pulsefish is an engineered organism that is nevertheless found across its planet of origin. It is a bulbous, awkward swimmer, grown to mimic the vales and ventricles of a beating heart, which it uses to inhale and jet out water to move through the water. It has bulbing, googly eyes that swivel independently of one another, and a valve-like mouth that opens and closes constantly in a pulsing, sucking rhythm.
