[[File:Ixodon_-_small.jpg|thumb|left|An Ixodon.]] The Ixodon are a water-born, non-humanoid race of creatures and one of the Younger Races in the Starmourn Sector, standing standing approximately 3 meters tall when on land. Their bodies are spade-shaped with remarkably strong musculature, propelled by long, armored tentacles. They rely on a large, singular eye within a toothed hood for perceiving their surroundings, though many years below the surface have given them near-perfect vision even in absolute darkness.

What little is known about the Ixodon revolves around their membership in the [[Ibyssian Brotherhood]] and the fact that they are excellent builders of starships. Some modern Ixodon now live comfortably on land, though a significant portion of their population remain below water.
