Neon tetra
Created by selective breeding from wild minnows native to Dawning, the aquarist's neon tetra has long and elegant fins that grow much longer than the scant few centimeters of its body, which it uses to fold around itself to provide a cocoon of insulation against cold water. Its tiny body comes in a variety of vivid neon colors, its fins taking a slightly more translucent shade, seeming to paint the water as it moves.
It is closely related to the glacier tetra.
