Makira

A domesticated animal native to Kovalar, the makira is a placid six-legged mammal with a pointed snout and ears, a fine russet red coat of fur, and a luxuriously soft and ring-patterned tail. Its disposition tends to vary between playful and lazy, making it a popular family pet or lap companion for many Shen. Its four round toes and soft, pink-padded feet are considered to be very cute, and are the namesake of maki paws, a common Shen crop.
