Honeylip Water Lily

Native to Kovalar, the honeylip water lily floats and thrives on the surface of calm waters, its thin roots ballooning out below the surface to take in the nutrients seeping up from the silty soil below. Crisp white petals stand out in their elegance, stretching out from the center of the flower as if posed and ironed into perfect position with a golden-colored rim which appears to drip down the petal's form. Bright yellow pistils topped by tiny bulbs of the same color reach towards the sky, spreading the sweet, honey-like scent and enticing nearby pollinators. Though unfortunately completely inedible, the flower is popular in Janilyn as a model for jewelry and for its use in various home decor styles.
