Golden sulraz
A marine arachnid native to the volcanic seas of Jerzah, the golden sulraz is an eight-legged arthropod with a fuzzy yellow body, ochre-colored mandibles and seven multifaceted eyes. Its eight limbs are covered in golden hair that grows from between the joints of its exoskeleton. They use their legs and these long hairs to draw the eye away from its abdomen, and golden sulraz in particular regularly groom themselves, adding sulfur and other toxic chemicals to dissuade predators from eating them by sacrificing stealth in favor of aposematism signals.
They are itinerant scavengers in the wild, regularly roaming around areas to avoid larger creatures and track down new sources of food, and popular additions to aquarium and paludarium displays for their role in keeping the water clear of algae and other detritus.
