High Density, Destabilized Astrium, aka HDD Astrium, is a form of the exotic element Astrium. It is created by bombarding LDD Astrium with protons. Unlike its low density form, it is highly volatile and thus has limited uses outside of explosive devices. However, it can be carefully "baked" in a gravitational field to create the potent and stable, HDS Astrium used in QPCs.
