PITCh (Polymorphic Iriil-Titanium Chrome) is a material developed at the New Dikamazi Shipyard by Argo T'rath and the resident Bushraki engineers of the asteroid.
An alloy of baryonic titanium, chromium and vertically aligned carbon nanotubes is used to form a dense, practically non-magnetic colloidal alloy with powerfully manipulatable non-newtonian properties by iriil suspension.
The iriil's inherent void kith and ability to have the properties of all forms of matter (gas, liquid, solid, plasma), allows for a polymorphic alloy solution. The material responds to impact, velocity, friction and pressure, and can be controlled manually with electrical impulses and signals that put kinetic pressure on the material. When activated it is able to harden to a solidity almost as resilient as transteel, with a light-absorbing hue as dark as a black hole. The material can be relaxed to change its form as required with inert argon infusions, which are pushed through its liquid iriil channel circuits, the effect being a subtle shimmer of dark magenta as the material shifts and adapts to its environment, velocity and impact.
