Reynolds is the name of the star that forms the basis of the Reynolds group of asteroids at the heart of Scatterhome.
It is named after Sean Reynolds, Maddox Khan's best friend and an engineer integral in the development of the artificial atmosphere and grav field employed in the habitation of the Haven City asteroid. The naming of the star is said to have occurred as follows:
Khan: "Hey Reynolds, I named my son after you!"
Reynolds: "Huh?! Akari was pregnant?"
Khan: "Duhhh." *gestures to the sun, casually waving around a cigarette*.
