The Blasted Region is an area to the galactic north of the Starmourn Sector. It was here that Omega was ambushed by an unknown enemy fourteen million years ago. While this enemy was defeated, Omega was mortally wounded and was ended. Omega's kith dissipated and was absorbed by the various stars and black holes in the region. Unable to contain this vast, immeasurable power, the stars went supernova and the singularities collapsed releasing two new and unique forms of kith: star kith and void kith.
